Lincoln Township Public Library

How to get a library card

Getting a Library Card
Residents of Lincoln, Royalton and Baroda Townships who are 18 and older may obtain a card by presenting proof of address, such as a driver's license, tax bill, rent receipt or similar item. Children 6-17 whose parents or legal guardians reside in these three townships may obtain their own library card provided the application is signed by a parent or guardian with proof of address.
We honor Michicards from participating libraries. If you live outside these three townships and your home library participates in the Michicard Program, you will need to have a card from your home library prior to checking items out from Lincoln Township Public library. (We'll be happy to help you find out who your home library is, and whether they also participate in the Michicard Program.)
People living outside our service area as well as temporary residents of our service area may purchase a patron card for a fee under the following conditions:
   1. Proof of permanent address and positive identification are required. This may include (but is not limited to) a driver's license from your home state or a passport.
   2. Verification of local address, such as rental agreement, short term lease agreement or other material with local address listed is required.
Temporary card fees are as follows:
            a. Three month cards are $45.
            b. Six month cards are $90.
            c. One year cards are $150.
Patrons residing in the area for more than a year will be issued a regular patron card. Proof of long term temporary residency is required at the time of application for a library card.
