Registered Story Hours

Registered Story Hours will resume in the fall.
Unregistered Story Hours
Bedtime Story Hour Monday evening at 7:00 p.m.
This half-hour story time for all ages includes stories, songs and crafts, and uses the theme from the previous Friday
Tuesday Walk-In Story Hour—Every Tuesday morning from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m.
Stories and songs focused on younger preschoolers but no craft. It uses the theme from the previous Friday and Monday.
Fun Friday—Every Friday morning from 10:30 to 11:00.
This is our Premiere Story Hour. Designed for ages 3 to 5, but open to all ages, it includes stories, songs, and a theme-related craft.

Fall T.A.B. Meetings
Fridays @ 3:30 pm

(no meeting in June or July)
Come enjoy the many Teen Summer Reading Events!
The Teen Advisory Board (T.A.B.) is a group of teens (grades 6-12) who meet monthly at the library to discuss books, plan programs, and have a lot of fun!
Applications are available at the library.

Garden Tour
September 6th, 9:00 am-5:00 pm
the tour this year incluces delightful gardens overflowing with late summer perennials and majestic grasses, a tea party gazebo tucked away in a colorful garden retreat, sparkling water gardens, a culinary herb garden and a rain garden.
Tickets are $10 and are available at the library after August 16th or after 9:00 am at any of the featured gardens on tour day

A representative from the League of Women Voters will be here to answer your questions. Registration is required. Refreshments will be served. Door prizes!


Twenties and Thirties Group
Twenties ‘n’ Thirties---T ‘n’ T What’s new at the Lincoln Township Library? Programs just for you—if you are in your twenties or thirties and would like a place to gather, drink coffee, and chat about books, magazines, websites, anything at all. This new series of library sponsored programs and events provide networking and learning opportunities in a fun, social environment. T'n'T Group Special Events
TnT would like to invite all interested adults to our book discussions:
The authors will be joining us for phone chats! Registration is required and begins one month in advance.

Endowment Fund
Endowments are tax deductible gifts to the library that allow us to go beyond basic services. Charitable gifts of cash, securities or other property; bequests, trust arrangements, or life insurance policies are some of the ways to insure the library’s financial security. All donations made by December 31st can be claimed on your 2008 tax return.
Library Board Meetings
Trustees of the Library hold meetings scheduled for the last Monday of every month, beginning at 7:00 p.m. These meetings are open to the public. 

Blood Pressure Clinics
Blood Pressure Clinic is Back!
Beginning January 8, 2008, a Registered Nurse will be available from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month.
There is no charge for this clinic.

Book Discussions

Books are available one month in advance.

Bag lunch and a movie
Bring your lunch and join us for a Feature Film at the Library; all movies will start on Wednesday at noon. Dessert will be provided.

BOOK CLUBS/DISCUSSIONS

LTPL Book Discussion Group
The adult book discussion group meets the third Tuesday of every month from 7:30 to 8:30 pm. Books are available at the front desk.
Twenties ‘n’ Thirties (T’n’T)
Book discussion on Wednesday, April 11 at 6:30 pm.
Oprah’s Book Club
Oprah’s site gives background information including reviews of the book, author biographies, discussion questions and highlights from her discussion on the show. The complete list and guide for Oprah’s book club choices starting from 1996 is available.
Reading Group Choices
Reading Group Choices provides tips for the new book group leader as well as hundreds of selections for book group discussions.
Reading Group Guides
This site has advice and ideas for new groups and veterans alike. Each guide gives a summary of the story, questions for discussion and author biographical information.
