Friends Support the Library
Friends of the Library have volunteered many hours in promoting and supporting the library. They have assisted at dedications, parades, and the Bicentennial Celebration; hosted special teas and programs such as origami craft projects; sponsored variety shows and coordinated annual garden tours that won the Michigan Library Association’s Marketing and Public Relations “Best of the Best” award. The Friends many contributions have provided beneficial additions to the library such as books-on-tape, display racks, book carts, outdoor Christmas lights, author visits, and landscaping. While their activities are creative and varied, Friends of the Library coordinate two ongoing fundraisers:
Book Sales
Used Book Sales, occurring throughout the year, are a terrific way to recycle books and make book ownership affordable for everyone. Our $5 Bag Sales occurs every other month on the third Saturday. Check out our Events Calendar to see when our next sale will be held!
Book Donations
The Friends depend on gently used books and DVDs to stock our Treasure Shop shelves and to supply our bag sales. In addition, some of our donated books are added to the Library’s collection if needed.
Fundraiser: Help us Earn Money for the Library!
Please give back to the Friends of the Library with each trip that you make to the grocery store!
By buying Family brand products – and saving the UPC barcodes from those cans, boxes and bottles – YOU can help the Friends of the Lincoln Township Public Library earn money to help us provide the Library with new books, library programs and more.
For each bundle of 500 Family UPC barcodes collected, the Friends can earn $25. Labels can be dropped in one of our Direct Your Label boxes located throughout the library or mail your labels to: Friends of the Library 2009 W. John Beers Rd. Stevensville, MI 49127
