Who Can Volunteer?

Anyone who is 18 years old and older is welcome to volunteer. Interest in libraries and books, a concern for our community, or a passion for helping others will help you accomplish the assigned activities. We welcome volunteers with a variety of different skills, interests, and abilities.

Do you want to volunteer, but you’re not 18 years old? Join our Teen Advisory Board.

What Can a Volunteer Do?

Since our volunteers come from different backgrounds and have different skills and experiences, there are a variety of volunteer opportunities. Volunteers can assist librarians by cleaning toys, prepping materials for displays, cleaning shelves, organizing library materials to return them to the shelves, use a skill for a program, -or help raise money for and awareness of library services as a member of a Friends Group. Volunteer tasks may vary throughout the year.

How Do I Get Involved?

If you are 18 years old or older, you can fill out the online volunteer application below, or click the button to print the document and return it to the circulation desk once completed.

Volunteer Application Volunteer Handbook

*We do not offer volunteer opportunities to individuals seeking court-ordered community service.

Read over the Volunteer policy before filling out the application.

Once you turn in the application and it has been reviewed, a staff member will contact you to schedule an interview and sign up for shifts.
